Examine the migration from CICS Transaction Server (TS) for z/OS
Version 2 to CICS Transaction Server for z/OS Version 3.1, which
delivers major enhancements that strengthen its support for CICS
integration, application transformation, and enterprise management.
New features include Web services, Open Transaction Environment (OTE)
exploitation, and the CICSPlex System Manager (CPSM) Web User
Interface (WUI). Review easy-to-understand release planning
information in the areas of operating system integration, resource
definition changes, application support planning, monitoring, and
statistics enhancements. More specifically, explore details of the new
enhancements to CICS TS for z/OS, including Hypertext Transfer
Protocol (HTTP) support and Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP). The
CICS-related IBM program products are presented as an overview.
