- Review customer objectives and requirements.
- Create scripts for starting up and shutting down of the SP system.
- Document use of parallel management commands.
- Configure file collections and /or NIS.
- Manage SP user accounts.
- Review and optimize SP resources.
- Update and customize the Automounter.
- Implement SP accounting if needed.
- Review SP security features and make recommendations.
- Implement non-root user scripts and procedures for off hour management.
- Set up automatic operation of the SP Switch.
- Manage system partitions.
- Create node groups where appropriate.
- Optimize SP extension nodes and SP-attached servers if required.
- Configure Perspectives for administration and operator use.
- Activate the problem management subsystem.
- Create an error log management plan and procedure.
- Review management of the root volume group and the SDR.
